If you’ve been wondering: Can I use my Echo as a speakerphone? It’s definitely possible! But, there are some limitations. The main one is that you can’t make phone calls using your Echo. While you can make phone calls using it, you won’t be able to receive text messages. Likewise, you won’t be able to pass on notifications to your Echo.
In order to use your Echo as a speakerphone, you must first connect it to a Bluetooth device. It’s possible to pair it to a Bluetooth device via an AUX cable. You should also be able to connect your device to the Echo using Wi-Fi. If you can’t, then you’ll have to re-pair the device first. Afterward, you’re good to go!
Using the Bluetooth connection is possible if you have an Echo that supports Bluetooth. To pair your Echo to a Bluetooth device, open the Alexa app on your mobile device. Choose the Bluetooth settings menu, then tap on the Echo device. Once you’ve paired your Echo with your Bluetooth device, Alexa will announce that it has been successfully paired. Once you’ve paired your Echo to Bluetooth, you can begin using it as a speakerphone!
You can use your Echo as a speakerphone to make calls, send and receive voice messages, and more. You can also use the Echo as a speakerphone by using the Alexa app to dictate, type or record a voice message. After you’ve finished speaking, the message will be sent to the recipient’s Echo speaker. If you want to listen to a recorded message, you can play it back through the Echo app.
